Inspired to a healthy and long life

I freely acknowledge the boredom induced by those who go on and on about health, but I challenge anyone to listen to speeches by either Dr Colin Campbell or Dr Caldwell Esselstyn and not be inspired to shout about their discoveries from the roof tops.

These two scientists tell of extraordinary research results that should be inspiring us all to look carefully at what we eat, before approaching our doctors for the quick, but temporary, fix that they can deliver.

Cancer and Heart disease are the two at the forefront of their discussions, but after that come many of the aging diseases that we have all learned to dread, including diabetes and Alzheimers.

The roots of all these diseases are put down when we are young and if left to their own devices will manifest themselves later in life.  However even when a disease manifestation occurs, a change in diet will have a dramatic effect on its successfully taking hold.  And there is nothing more prophylactic than moving to a plant based diet, before any event takes place.

I strongly recommend visiting http://drmcdougall.com/store_advanced_study_series.html and picking up some of the DVDs available.  They could well change your life for the better and the longer.

Along with a plant based diet, I would suggest that everyone play a Uke for at least 1/2 hour per day while enjoying a wee bit of the Glen.

Having joined the fast growing group of people who recognise the value of living on plant based whole food, I now want to share my experiences and views with as many others as possible.
