Simple Curry 

Assemble to suit taste and season

Sauté 
  • chopped onions
  • chopped garlic and ginger, 
Then add 
  • curry powder, to your taste. 
Add water and allow to simmer in a dish suitable for serving.  
Season with 
  • salt and pepper
  • Aromatic mix 
  • other herbs to taste.  
  • Cashew nut cream.
Steam until they are just tender. 
  • Root vegetables such as spuds, parsnips, kumara, and pumpkin chopped into reasonable chunks.
10 minutes before serving add the steamed veges to the simmering curry dish.

At the same time sauté until they are just tender.
  • green vegetables such as beans, cabbage, peas, cauliflower, broccoli etc, suitably chopped
Spread the freshly cooked veges over the curry and serve, or present them in a separate dish.


Note - If you want to include beans or legumes to the above, they should be cooked prior and added with the root veges.
