Books and Doctors

The following scientists and doctors are among those who have offered real scientific proof that a plant based, whole food diet is the cheapest, most reliable way of maintaining complete health and reversing much of the damage done.

‘The China Study’, by Dr Colin Campbell carries the sub title, which I believe to be true, declaring it “The most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted”.  The book, which summarises more than 40 years of study, leaves us in no doubt as to what should and should not be eaten, to survive the diseases of the affluent (including coronary heart disease, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s, obesity, diabetics), irrespective of genetics.

‘Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease’ by Dr Caldwell Esselstyn, is essential reading for those who suffer from the fear, or actuality, of coronary disease.  His results are startling and scientifically thorough.  His interview with Kim Hill - click here, is well worth listening to.

Dr John McDougall, a practicing doctor for over 40 years, has recognised that, while the path to excellent health is through good diet, there is little to sell.  He enthusiastically promotes good diet through lectures, books, DVDs and health tours, all of which make him money.  His organisation uses these funds to further promote good diet.  His message is just the same as the two researches above; he is passionate about the subject of good health through diet.  His latest publication 'The Starch Solution' is essential reading for us all; it is hard to put down, his premise difficult to reject, his conclusions undeniable and his advice incontestable. A video introducing the concept is worth watching. His short videos on elements of health are excellent viewing - click here.

Michael Greger, M.D. of www.NutritionFacts.org presents us with an encyclopaedic range of insights into health and well-being, through intelligent writings and cryptic videos, summarising a vast range of research findings.  I find myself avidly watching and reading his enormous output.

Jason Shon Bennett at www.jasonshonbennett.com provides a wealth of information and enthusiasm for gaining exceptional health through diet and lifestyle.  We are privileged to have him live in New Zealand, whilst providing his services to people around the world.

The number of web sites promoting plant based eating is growing all the time, both for personal health and for saving the world.

I encourage you to read some of the Blogs on this site.
